OUR STORY

Growing up we had always dreamed of owning and operating our own business. As longtime friends and colleagues, we teamed up to execute our long-term vision to buy and hold high-quality, profitable local businesses from like minded owners approaching their retirement.

We hold strongly held beliefs around integrity, humility, community, faith, and family and we are excited to help existing business owners transition towards other phases of their lives. Leveraging our combined 12+ years of financial industry experience, enthusiasm, and work ethic, we are thrilled to help carry the torch and continue the legacies of each business.

Gustavo LaRotta

Founder, Partner

Growing up in Jacksonville, FL, Gustavo always had in the back of his mind that owning and operating his own small business is the definition of the American Dream.

Prior to forming QC Strategies, Gustavo served as an Associate at Frontier Growth where he spent most of his time evaluating new investment opportunities and supporting portfolio companies on strategic growth initiatives and M&A opportunities. Prior to Frontier Growth, Gustavo served as an Investment Banking Associate at Fifth Third Securities, where he advised clients on a broad range of M&A advisory assignments. Gustavo received his BA in Commerce from the University of Virginia.

Gustavo lives in Charlotte, NC, with his wife Stephanie and his two cats, Chase and Henry. He enjoys going on runs, listening to music and supporting his beloved Jacksonville Jaguars.

Mitch D’Eramo

Founder, Partner

As an investor and operator, Mitch has always believed in the values that were embedded in his upbringing: strong work ethic, integrity, humility, and helping others.

Prior to forming QC Strategies, Mitch served as an Associate at Frontier Growth where he spent most of his time evaluating new investment opportunities and supporting portfolio companies on strategic growth and M&A opportunities. Prior to Frontier Growth, Mitch served as an Investment Banking Senior Associate at Fifth Third Securities. He advised clients on a broad range of M&A and strategic advisory assignments. Mitch received his BS in finance from Wake Forest University.

Mitch lives in Charlotte, NC, with his wife Morgan and Bailey the Golden Retriever. He enjoys golf, supporting the Demon Deacons, and spending time with family.

Tom Terry

Vice President

Growing up in the Bay Area, from an early age Tom learned the value of a strong work ethic from his family’s roots in finance and farming. Eager to surround himself with like-minded, hardworking individuals, he sought an environment where he could collectively foster a unique and empowering culture.

Prior to joining QC Strategies, Tom served as an Associate at North Point Mergers and Acquisitions where he focused solely on the multi-unit consumer sector. He spent most of his time executing franchisor and franchisee sell-side transactions. Prior to North Point, Tom worked at Accenture as a Senior Analyst in the management consulting practice. He received his BS in Finance from Wake Forest University.

Tom lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife Abby. He enjoys golf, supporting bay area sports, and spending time with family.
